Gals Just Wanna Go GLOBAL!

For all you Wild Women who just need to get away from it all in the company of other like minded Ladies, this month we offer a few "Helpful Hints".

Wild Women Adventures - Web Page AdMy favorite Gal Pals are Martha and Carol from Wild Women Adventures. These Ladies know how to have fun and they make sure their clients have the time of their lives. One look at their site or brochure tells you any one of their trips will be unique.

Absolutely fabulous and funky don't let the trip titles fool you. As the "Sissy Meter" will tell you, the trips are for the pampered and deserving. You won't find tents or tuna fish on these trips, but you will get top notch guides and array of possible playgrounds you never thought of before.

Wild Women Expeditions  If you like a slightly more physical trip Wild Women Expeditions offers canoe trips in Alberta, Canada and a base camp that allows you to to rest and relax, or hike and explore to your hearts content. This is their 10th year in operation and while the canoe trips can be physically challenging, you need not have had any experience before. The purpose is to enjoy and learn. The focus is on the journey not just the destination. You get in shape on them, not for them.

Beth was kind enough to submit a recipe from WWE's Cookbook.  It will give you a taste of what to expect on one of their trips. Tents maybe, tuna fish never!

Now that we have covered both Wild Women physical extremes we move on to inner journeys of the soul. With Journeys of Discovery you are encouraged to commune with nature and her creatures while getting in touch with your deeper feelings. Traveling to some of the most spiritual destinations in the world, discover the goddess within, in the company of like minded women.  Gail gives you a glimpse into her world with this months article on swimming with the humpbacks.

For a different look at women's travels we have two great resources. The Women's Travel Club is a great place to to find other travelers who have given up trying to drag their man along. They have a monthly newsletter and 25-30 different trips a year for their members. Their are even meeting in various cities.

JourneyWoman.com is a website devoted to women travelers. The site provides dozens of useful tips, women friendly guides to cities and tons of classified ads for everything a woman traveler might need. Their sister site, HerMail.net allows women to request information from locals in the cities they plan to visit. With over 3000 women around the world offering advice and assistance, you never have to feel all alone, even when traveling on your own.

You go girls, even if you have to go it alone. You'll have the time of your life. I always do.

Ta Ta for now.... Sheri
