The pairing of world-renowned chef Jean-Pierre Moullé and Denise Lurton-Moullé, the daughter of a leading French wine producing family, results in the creation of Two Bordelais, a unique tour concept.

The couple's dedication to the food and wine of their "pays natal," and the in-depth knowledge that can only come from years of immersion in a community, combine to create a special treat for lovers of French cuisine. Having a number of chateaux in the family allows the Two Bordelais to give their guests an insiders' look into Bordeaux.

It is no surprise that these tours place a strong emphasis on the quality of the meals. For their "Cooking in Bordeaux" classes, Jean-Pierre selects only the finest local products, many grown in his own garden. Guests experience simple country cooking in the Moullés' own farm house kitchen and also more elegant menus prepared in the professional kitchen in the 13th century Château La Louvière. These dinners, along with visits to some of the region' s other chateaus, allow the visitor to experience the varied architecture, beautiful interiors and decor of some of France's grandest castles.

Other trips include "Black Truffles," "The Pyrénées and Armagnac Country" where guests visit a foie gras farm, shepherds making cheese and an Armagnac producer. "The Cathar Country," a rarely visited area at the foot of the Pyrénées, is home to a number of medieval castles and prehistoric caves.
