Two Bordelais The pairing of world-renowned chef Jean-Pierre Moullé and Denise Lurton-Moullé, the daughter of a leading French wine producing family, results in the creation of Two Bordelais, a unique tour concept. The couple's dedication to the food and wine of their "pays natal," and the in-depth knowledge that can only come from years of immersion in a community, combine to create a special treat for lovers of French cuisine. Having a number of chateaux in the family allows the Two Bordelais to give their guests an insiders' look into Bordeaux.
Other trips include "Black Truffles," "The Pyrénées and Armagnac Country" where guests visit a foie gras farm, shepherds making cheese and an Armagnac producer. "The Cathar Country," a rarely visited area at the foot of the Pyrénées, is home to a number of medieval castles and prehistoric caves. Of course, meeting the local artisans is a must for any cultural trip. Meeting with artisans who specialize in cheese making, or barrel making or chocolate baking, and whose passion for their art, show in their care and dedication to their craft, is just a few of the highlights of a trip with Two Bordelais. — Sheri Leigh |
