Cellar Tours offers wine and culinary tours through Spain and Portugal. Thanks to the extensive contacts of owner Genevieve McCarthy, these guided luxury trips include exclusive visits to some of those countries’ best wine estates, normally not open to the public.  

The company offers a great selection of scheduled tours, including “Balearic Island's Best Kept Secrets,” “Don Quixote's Footsteps in Wine Country” and “Sherry, Sevilla and Dancing Horses.” Customized tours are also arranged for wine school and professionals, culinary enthusiasts and corporate groups. Long weekends and cooking courses can also be arranged for individuals.                

A number of short day-only excursions are also available. Oporto, for example, offers such trips as: “Douro Valley Wine Tour – Quintas and Wine Tasting;” “Port Wine Lodge Tour – Full Day Wine Tour of Vila Nova de Gaia;” ”Vinho Verde Wine Tour – Full Day Wine Country Excursion;” and “Lima Valley Manors, Wine Tasting and Castles Tour.” 

A love of food, wine and languages first led to the creation of Cellar Tasting, a wine shop for the English-speaking market.
