World Society

World Society is a unique, customized itinerary planning service provided by the renowned Christmas historian, Maria Hubert von Staufer, and her husband, Andrew Hubert von Staufer, an early pioneer in sustainable tourism.

Taping into 30-plus years of travel experience, the von Staufers have created an extensive network of alliances and can advise and create itineraries to meet the needs of most independent travelers.

Maria, a specialist in the history of religion, designs itineraries around monasteries and shrines, while Andrew creates itineraries through the lesser known areas England, Wales and Scotland. Daughter Emelia has lived in Japan for the past 10 years and is able to advise the cultural traveler on the best way to find local culture there.

Providing customized suggestions for sightseeing, hotels, restaurants and knowledgeable local guides, the von Staufers can arrange entrance into many places not normally open to the public and meetings with people who are usually not accessible to visitors.
