The company’s aim is to provide a great Scotch whisky experience, whether for connoisseurs, amateurs, or those just interested in learning a bit about Scotland’s national drink.

The company’s founders, Caroline Dewar and Helen Arthur, are both whisky experts. Helen has written a number of books on the subject, including the first comprehensive guide to malt whiskies written by a woman, The Single Malt Whisky Companion. Caroline for nearly 15 years worked in the marketing department for a major distillery. Today she enjoys leading tutored tastings and writes about her interest in whisky as a mixer in cocktails and food.

Trips available include a couple of scheduled group departures, but most are self-guided and a wide array of suggested itineraries is available. Additionally, tours can be custom designed for individuals or groups. Arrangements include accommodation and restaurant suggestions, and all journeys can have other cultural or sporting events added.

In addition to arranging stops at the distilleries that accept visitors, due to Caroline and Helen’s wide-ranging network, even those not normally opened to the public can be accessible. For a thorough understanding of the whisky making process, visits to grain distilleries, a cooperage and blending/bottling plants can also be accommodated.
