Guerba
World Travel Ltd. started out over 20 years ago offering overland treks
across Africa. These journeys of mythic proportion evoke the magic of
explorations long past and are still a staple of the company’s
itineraries. Today it also offers a vast number of trips throughout the
continent.
Hiking
adventures to Africa’s highest peaks include Tanzania’s Mt.
Kilimanjaro, Uganda’s Mt. Stanley and Kenya’s Mt. Kenya. These
journeys can be combined with camping or lodge safari programs. A
multi-day hike into the remote Dogon villages along Bandiagara Escarpment
and three-day boat journey are part of Guerba’s “Journey to Timbuctoo.”
Family adventures include Kenya, Zanzibar and Morocco.
On
the other side of the world in the Himalayas, more than 40 Guerba treks
allow the adventurous traveler to explore the land and people where no bus
tour can ever imagine going. Luckily, for us physically timid travelers,
Guerba offers a grand selection of cultural adventures as well.
By
grading all its journeys 1-6
for physical requirements (1 is easiest; 6 is hardest), people can select
the trip that best matches their abilities. In conjunction with Epic
Expeditions, Guerba also offers an overland safari for wheelchair-bound
travelers.
